How it all started
EBASS (Emerging Boston Area & Singer Songwriters) began as a Facebook group created by local musicians who needed a better way to connect. It was built from the ground up — a grassroots response to the fragmented Boston music scene. What started as a DIY message board for finding bandmates, swapping gear, and filling show lineups quickly grew into a vital hub for collaboration and opportunity.
Now, EBASS is evolving into something bigger: a living, breathing community that bridges artists, industry, and audiences. With mixers, directories, education, and events, we're creating a more connected, inclusive, and empowered future for Boston music — one where artists can find each other, support each other, and thrive together.
